At the time of writing this I am 57 years old. Now I am 59 years old

I have been cycle touring since the 1970's, before the Internet and Digital Cameras.

Tours started of as weekends away in Yorkshire Dales or to friends houses in Cornwall or Scotland.

I hae done  the Three Peaks....... Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon by bike in 77 hrs for Uni Rag Week , I was in the cycling club and climbing club so it was a way of combining the two. climb the mountians and cycle in between. The Cranes did it in 42 hrs but I did it alone and in February ( crazy time for Rag Week)

Then came fortnight holidays to France, Morroco, Scotland etc.

I belonged to the Ribble Valley CRC and raced and time trialed and now I like to challenge myself.

The CTC  ( 135 miles across England)  in  11hrs 54 minutes takes me back to the Three Peaks.

And sometimes I wake up and just go off to John O' Groats or down to South Wales for a few days break.

My  favourite cycle rides are long as you can see from above. Audax rides have played a big part in my life.

The trips on this web site  started a long long time ago when I first heard about Patagonia, in the 60's, and couldn't wait to go to see for myself. But I had to wait. 35 years !!!!

But it was worth it.
